Qlauson / Your privacy

Privacy Policy

Effective September 29, 2026

This policy explains what information Qlauson may collect when you visit our site, contact us, or request story updates, and what choices you have.

Information we collect

If you use our contact form, we receive your email address, selected topic, and message. If you request story updates, we receive your email address and keep a record of your confirmation. We do not ask you to create an account or provide a name to read Qlauson.

When you visit, technical information such as your IP address, browser, device details, and pages viewed may be processed to operate and protect the site. Article views are counted. If you allow analytics cookies, we may also receive information about how you use the site, including page visits and interactions.

How we use information

We use contact details to respond to inquiries and corrections. We use a confirmed email address to send the story updates you asked for. We also process technical data to operate the site, prevent spam and abuse, and understand and improve our content when you permit analytics. We do not use contact-form messages to enroll you in the newsletter.

Cookies and analytics

We use CookieYes to show and remember your cookie choices. Google Analytics loads directly only after you allow analytics cookies through CookieYes. You can decline optional analytics or change your choice using the cookie preferences control on the site. Necessary technologies may still be used to operate the site and remember your choices. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not a substitute for the choices in the cookie banner.

Who helps us run the site

We use service providers to host and protect the site, manage cookie choices (CookieYes), measure traffic with your consent (Google Analytics), and send requested emails (Resend). These providers may process information needed to perform those services. We may also share information when required by law or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell the contact details you send us. Depending on applicable privacy law, sharing analytics data with Google may count as “sharing”; you can decline analytics in the cookie choices.

How long information is kept

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless law requires a longer period. Contact messages may be kept while we respond and handle follow-up requests. Newsletter records are kept while you are subscribed or as needed to honor an unsubscribe request. Cookies have their own lifetimes, which you can review in the cookie preferences.

Your choices and rights

Every story-update email includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also change optional cookie choices using CookieYes. Depending on where you live, you may be able to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, or object to or limit certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where consent is our basis for processing. Use our contact form to make a privacy request; we may need to verify that the information belongs to you before acting on it. You may have a right to complain to your local privacy authority.

International processing and security

Our service providers may process information in other countries with different privacy laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no website or electronic transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information through our contact form.

Children and other websites

Qlauson is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. Articles may link to other websites whose privacy practices we do not control; check their policies before sharing information with them.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our practices change. The effective date above tells you when this version took effect. For questions or privacy requests, use the Qlauson contact form.
